Last week I was super duper
(sarah)fortunate
to visit Scottsdale, Arizona
thanks to the city’s Convention & Visitors Bureau.
It was my very first time in the area
and boy was this the way to experience it.
All of the kind folks at the CVB,
along with the Millennium Resort Scottsdale
(our host hotel)
took such great care of us meeting planners.
We toured tons of amazing properties,
ate delicious food,
drank lots of drinks,
and were spoiled with
spa treatments & tickets to the
BCS Championship game.
It was a great, exhausting
few days where I learned a lot
and managed to have some fun too.
Of course the highlight
was the Auburn-Oregon game
which we watched from
an amazing suite
on the 40 yard line.
How in the world can you beat that?
You can’t.
Well…
Unless it was Arkansas playing.
Here are some photos of my trip…
View from my room
Treats
24 hours access to the hospitality suite
I was there for one hour
and I found Sprinkles.
Touring hotels…
The The Hotel Valley Ho is one of my FAVES.
It’s the perfect mix of vintage and modern.
So in love.
And it’s not just because they
fed us cupcakes & mint juleps
on the rooftop.
I also loved The W Hotel
in downtown Scottsdale.
The swimming pool looks down
into the parking garage.
And the property comes complete
with a Bliss Spa.
Other properties…
Not too shabby either.
Okay, now onto the game.
We got our passes
and a margarita for the road.
Tailgated a bit…
…where I randomly walked up to
Jared Leto‘s band playing.
I literally was like, “that looks like Jared Leto.”
And whatdoyaknow.
After getting through the
crazy crowds
I made it to our suite.
Our very sweet suite.
With all the beer
and Tostitos you could consume.
Our box was next to the
Under Armor suite,
where Mike Leach and golfer, Hunter Mahan watched the game.
I’m not a golf fan,
but of course I had to snap a picture.

And that’s that.
I can’t wait to go back!
Girl, those hotels are fabulous! I’m sure you’ll be booking events in their facilities in no time.
Until I saw your picture of the giant American flag on the football field, it never occurred to me that there were people under it carrying it out. I always thought they had some sort of ginormous machine that would spread it out over the field and keep it from touching the ground.
Wow. Where to start?! Your photos knock my socks off (yet again). Looks like an amazing trip! I’m adding Scottsdale to my list of dream destinations. xo.
p.s. Tiger dress = Auburn Tigers = SEC for life. (Yeah, I noticed.)
Hook’em Pigs!!! It was a great trip – love the pics Sarah!!!
You captured this trip perfectly, Sarah, and I didn’t even realize you were taking photos! This is fabulous…thanks for summing up such a great experience so well!
Wow, Sarah! Great blog. Thanks for a great record of our VERY fun trip. I’ll loan you AU gear to wear anytime and I’ll root for the Razorbacks if they make it next time 😉
Sarah, you really rocked this photo blog. Great work. Thanks for capturing it so perfectly.
Great photos of your trip to Scottsdale! Was this your first time visiting? It looks like you had a blast! The football game looks like it was a lot of fun. Thanks for sharing!

These ways on inducing hypnosis are taught by Ledochowski through his very
own covert hypnosis course. Self-hypnosis helps stop the desire of needing
a cigarette.
