This week I’m a whopping 14 weeks pregnant. The days seem to be going a little faster now that it’s all out in the open. The first trimester was full of the unknown, excitement, and even worry. I would stress myself out thinking something was wrong, just simply because I didn’t “feel pregnant.” With the exception of a few waves of nausea and intense exhaustion, I felt like my normal old self. I’ve always been a worrier, an over-thinker, and I knew that I had to do something to change my worrying ways. Unnecessary stress was just silly and certainly not good for the little bean.
Even after reassurance from nurses and my doctor that everything was right on track, I still couldn’t relax. That is until, I spent the best 25 bucks of my life. Some people (hi, Mom) think I’m a bit crazy for doing this, but I rented a home fetal heart doppler from Stork Radio so that I can listen to the little heartbeat any time I want. At $25 per month, I can keep it until I’m ready to send it back. Even though I know there will always be things to worry about, I can at least check in on the little one any time I want. The constant 150 heart rate is currently my favorite song and I listen to it daily! I feel confidant that things are going great and that I can focus on the countdown to October.
Since now I’m really letting myself get excited, I’ve already started making a wish list. With the exception of a few vintage clothing items, I haven’t bought anything, as I’m holding out till we know if it’s a girl or boy. Still, I spend my lunch hours roaming the baby aisles and my nights searching online for sweet little somethings. Some of my faves so far are below (again, hi Mom – wink!).
Happy Whales Mobile via giggle.com
A simple white crib via Target
Vintage children’s books via Etsy

Hey- beware of vintage children’s books! A lot of them have lead on the pages. Also, you should do a wish list.
XO!
You’re so cute! Your gonna be one stylish mama! Onesies are the best. Your little one will LIVE in them the first few months. Isnt this the best ever!? I miss it

You are going to be the most ridiculously cute pregnant girl EVER! You can count on books from me since children’s books is one of my true loves.
Glad to hear you are feeling good!
Great round-up. I kinda want that maternity baseball tee. (and I’m not pregnant!) xo.
I am SO totally planning on spending my entire pregnancy in Maxi dresses, if possible. Do you think I can dress them up for work? I’m thinking yes, with some boots and cute blazers….Hmm.
Hi there are using WordPress for your blog platform?
I’m new to the blog world but I’m trying to get started and
create my own. Do you require any coding knowledge to make your own blog?
Any help would be really appreciated!
Hey I know this is off topic but I was wondering if you knew of any widgets
I could add to my blog that automatically tweet my newest twitter updates.
I’ve been looking for a plug-in like this for quite some time and was hoping maybe you would have some experience with something like this.
Please let me know if you run into anything. I truly enjoy
reading your blog and I look forward to your new updates.

Congratulations! Such an exciting time crossing the threshold into the second trimester, and at 14 weeks there are so many cool things going on with the baby – curling fingers into a fist, smiling, frowning, distinctly developing into girl or boy within their own little bodies. I just love baby development. It’s so fascinating. I just started reading a brand new book called “The Wonder Within You: celebrating your baby’s journey from conception to birth” by Carey Wickersham. It’s an awesome combination of week-to-week pregnancy information, what’s going on with the baby, “Did you know?” plus health advice about what to eat, cravings, nutrition, etc, BUT also with awesome 3D/4D pictures and videos you can link or QR with your phone to and see what your baby looks like at each week stage. Even better than the typical week-to-week books, and so personal! It’s got mom stories and even a journal/note section to write your personal memories and letters to your baby. The pregnancy information is as up-to-date as it gets and it’s such a great keepsake. I want to get one for everybody I know who is expecting! I highly recommend it! TheWonderWithinYou.com.
I used to be recommended this blog by way of my cousin.
I am now not certain whether or not this put up is written by way of him as nobody else understand such precise about my problem.
