Thanksgiving Holiday

Thanksgiving in Memphis

Todd & I spent Thanksgiving in Memphis at my mom’s house, where we had an eclectic group of friends & family join us for dinner. This was the first time I met Penny – Kerri & Joel’s sweet little baybay.

Before the holiday was all said & done, we spent a fun filled evening at Laura & Eric’s house which included lots of drinks, hats, snacks, & even a little dance party.

Halloween Weekend

Halloween Weekend

This year the whole Halloween weekend was quite amazing! We kicked it off by going to the Six Tom Petties show on Dickson Street. Todd’s band, The Good Fear, all dressed up like Tom Petty (all six of them) and did all Petty covers. Gina and I dressed up like twin Pandas while Brand was Juno, Laura was Rainbow Brite, and Eric was a golden parachute.

The next morning Gina, Laura & myself drove to Lawrence, Kansas to see Girl Talk with Bev. We enjoyed a night of eating amazing Indian food, drinking vodka sodas, shopping & of course hours of dance dance dancin. We drove back the next day, but somehow managed to get lost in the middle of nooowhere, despite the fact that we had a GPS. The whole weekend was a fun little adventure!

Cindy Crawford (the kitten)

Cindy Crawford the kitty

After my precious Blue Kitty passed away, I started looking for a kitten to adopt. Although Blue can never be replaced, I had never lived without a cat in my life until Blue was gone. If you know me, you know that I have a special love for any “blue” cats (meaning gray). My mom and I both saw her profile on petfinder.com, so I knew it was meant to be. Turns out she was born in the U of Arkansas baseball field dugout to a wild mama cat. The baseball coach caught the kittens & brought them to a vet to be adopted. After trying to think of a clever baseball name, we finally decided on Cindy Crawford. Yeah.. don’t ask.
