On Sunday
(the day after The Black Crowes)
I received a last minute invite to see
Vampire Weekend, Beach House, & The Very Best
in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Um, yes please!
Although I was still a little sick
and I really needed to work,
I just couldn’t pass up
what could be the
last road trip of my twenties.
I was turning 30
in just a matter of days
and saw this as a way to
begin the celebration
just a lil early.
Taylor and I hit the road
on Monday afternoon.
Pulling into the Marriott
in downtown Tulsa.
Delish egg salad at Queenies.
We went around to different vintage shops
and of course stopped for photo ops.
So apparently the Chatter Box
has the “hottest ladies in down”
and just down the street we found
the creepiest store in town.
Back at the hotel
we listened to music,
popped some champagne,
and got dressed up for the show.
Hopped in a cab
to the Brady Theater.
Pre-show fun.
The show was SUCH a blast!
It was in an old theater but
we had “pit passes” so we could
dance, dance, dance.
The only bummer is that
security took my camera battery.
Apparently my camera is too fancy.
Big frown.
I used my iPhone to capture what I could.
A night cap.
The evening wouldn’t be complete
without taking our taxi
through the Taco Bell drive-thru.
Once we were safely back to our hotel
we stuffed our faces with a fourth meal
and then we had dessert, of course!
Thank you to Taylor
and her beautiful sister, Cameron,
who couldn’t go at the last minute
(but who we danced with in spirit)!
XOXO
