Autumny

I’m long overdue for an update, so here one is. The summer fun is over & now I’m a month into the semester taking 16 hours. Classes are ok.. two writing courses (one dealing with Public Relations, the other being more reading than actual writing), Marketing, German, and Biological Anthropology. All my time hasn’t been spent studying though – here’s just a peek at what else I’ve been up too..

The most exciting thing is that I have a new little sister! Lilah Caroline Reese Mcgregor was born a little less than a month ago. She’s so beautiful!

After a trip to Jonesboro to visit the new family addition, a group of us enjoied a wonderful French meal cooked (and instructed) by Laura.

Afterwards, we saw Dr. Dog play a free show.

+ weekdays are spent w/ Todd & Blue kitty (i’m not tryin to eat her in that picture, i swear)
+ spiced up the front of our house with a deck built by Eric, Todd, & Dustin
+ with major help from Laura, my little flower bed has come alive (with plants and moles)
+ weekends are spent on porches with friends, food, & drinks
+ i now have an organized “office” for Bittersweet & will even have an assistant soon

Thanks Ya’ll!

I’m not going to get into all of the bloody details just yet, but for the two people out there in the world who don’t already know, Todd got hurt pretty bad Tuesday night playing softball. I feel sort of bad saying this since it didn’t happen to me, but it was honestly one of the most terrifying moments of my life. I finally understand the feeling behind when my dad always says, “I hurt when you hurt” whenever I’ve been really sick.

A couple days, a broken nose, a gallon of blood, a broken bone-under-the-eye, and a temporarily blind left eye later, Todd is recovering nicely. He’s on strict bedrest though, so he’s been able to blog it up over at crasymaker.com. Check that out for the full story and plenty of pretty pictures.

I mostly just want to say THANK YOU over and over to everyone! You all have been so kind and generous. And I’ll never stop saying thanks to Eric and Laura. For real, ya’ll are amazing.
